On 18th November the Dhaka Expat Writers (DEW) held a launch to celebrate the Writer’s Abroad Anthology. The fact that 5 Dhaka writers were included in the Anthology was the inspiration not only for the launch, but also for the formation of DEW

Yours truly reading a poem on Dhaka traffic – posted in the previous blog post.
Dear David, I’ll discuss with the group as we plan to meet next week, and get back to you. We are still in the early stages of defining our size, shape and purpose!

Dear Dhaka expat writers,
Read about you in the current issue of writing magazine.
I am coming to Dhaka end of March to mid April to work for three weeks as a consultant to an interesting EU project called ‘Children Hardest to reach’. My first visit was last June.
In my spare time I write – I have almost completed the final draft of my novel – and would love to hook up with any events you might be holding in the evenings or weekend. Last time I stayed in a Gulshan hotel so I will be somewhere there.
Hope to hear from you! And find the writing scene of Dhaka!
David
